DAVID HSU 

Director of Christensen Sicat Hsu, DDS Inc.

I provide the corporate administrative support for SicatHSU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I assist Dr. Hsu in making corporate-level decisions and also provide logistical and technical support for the staff.

I am an Army Veteran and met my wife Dr. Christensen Hsu when we were both on Active Duty and stationed in Okinawa, Japan. My best memory in life is watching my wife walk down the aisle on our wedding day! My proudest accomplishment is bringing my entire military unit home safely after a year-long combat tour in Iraq.

I'm a triathlete and have competed in various triathlons to include Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and the 2022 World Championship Off-Road Triathlon in Romania.    Random fact: I have a corgi who can run as fast as me! 

NADIA 

Lead Treatment Coordinator

As the Lead Treatment Coordinator, I manage the consultations and surgical appointments for patients. I assist patients with the financing of their treatment plan by maximizing their insurance benefits or applying for lines of credit through Care Credit or Alphaeon. I facilitate the pre-authorizations and pre-determinations to ensure accurate information for co-payments. I help patients understand their dental insurance benefits, coordinate timely payments, and facilitate insurance reimbursements. I am the first Treatment Coordinator to be hired at SHOMS since its establishment in September 2021. I am a trained Medical Assistant certified in Basic Life Support. I successfully passed the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (OMSA) Certification and pursuing certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support. The knowledge gained over the years enable me to provide additional information about surgical procedures to help patients make informed decisions.

I grew up in Sunny San Diego. In my free time, I love eating at new restaurants and going on road trips with my family.

TOMAS 

Operations Coordinator

I coordinate the clinical and administrative operations for the practice. I also serve as a liaison for Dr. Hsu and business partners. I am certified in Basic Life Support and assigned as the Safety Officer to ensure the safety of the staff and patients in the practice. I am an Artist by trade and graduated from Temple University in Japan. My artistic skills gave me the opportunity to design the official logo for SHOMS. In addition to all my duties, I keep the staff informed of community events with our weekly SHOMS Newsletter.

I grew up on Philippine Cuisine but love Italian and Japanese food. I enjoy pop culture and love expressing it through my art. When I have a free Saturday, I volunteer at the nearby ranch in Bonsall to help care for a dozen racehorses. My favorite horse at the ranch is No Foolin.

 CHAD

  

 Registered Nurse

I am the Registered Nurse for SHOMS currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology.  Patient safety and maintaining our high standard of care are my top priorities. I perform the medical interview to help determine the best course of care, monitor and assist in surgical procedures, and your first resource in post-operative care. I am certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. As the clinic nurse, I support Dr. Hsu in all sedation procedures to help ensure the safety and comfort of the patient. 

I'm a former collegiate swimmer from UC Davis and lifeguard. An 80's soul, favorite movies being TOP Gun and Rocky. I am also a guitarist, weightlifter, and jiu jitsu fighter. Random Facts: Favorite animal is tiger yet I'm a dog person and a weakness for pizza.

  

 

OLIVIA

Surgical Assistant

I am a Registered Dental Assistant and proud to have graduated with a 4.0 GPA throughout the program. I was also rewarded with a Perfect Attendance Award. I am one of Dr. Hsu's surgical assistants and have learned a great deal about surgery in just a short amount of time. I am certified in Basic Life Support and aspire to become certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support and to continue to work in the surgical specialty as a certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assistant (OMSA).

I love to cook, bake, and most importantly make my products beautiful and presentable. Having twenty-three immediate family members make FAMILY a big part of my life. I love coffee and carbonara pasta! My favorite movie is A League of Their Own.

 

Yvonne

Treatment Coordinator

  

I am one of the treatment coordinators who also supports clinical operations as a surgical assistant. I am an experienced Dental Assistant with a total of 15 years. I have dental assisting experience in general practice, pediatric dentistry, and orthodontics. I am certified in Basic Life Support and pursuing certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advance Life Support, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assisting (OMSA). One of my many goals is to help organize a humanitarian mission in the future with Dr. Hsu and the staff. Giving back to the community is important to me. Helping those in need gives me fulfillment.

I was born and raised in North County San Diego County. Oceanside beach is one of my favorite beaches in Southern California. On my free time I enjoy camping and hiking with my Family along with our german shephard Jeter who acts like a chihuahua. I love traveling and exploring new places.

Surgical Assistant

  

I am the Clinical Care Coordinator and Lead Surgical Assistant. I am an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assistant with certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. I am proud to hold the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assisting (OMSA) Certification. I enjoy the surgical specialty and applying the newest technology in the practice. It's rewarding to see patients have their smiles restored and I am proud to be a part of their care.

I was born and raised in North County San Diego County. I enjoy being with my family and extended family on my free time.
